Absolutely brilliant!

I think J. Knight has some good ideas in their comments.

Something like this could be a good setup for wandering around festivals in the summer, too. Except that in some cases, the QR code might come after the subjects because you might shoot candidly and then approach them to give them the info. Although, I suppose you could shoot the card, then wander around looking for a subject, shoot them, then approach them and hand them the card. Hmmm.

Thank you for sharing this idea with us.

Nice writeup! Thanks for posting this along with all the code. It's a clever setup and I think that it would be incredibly useful for many people.

A luxury feature would be to free the subject from entering the number at home.
I see 3 ways to do this:
A) have the go to your website, and accept access to their webcam. Then they scan the QR code you gave them.

B) have the original QR codes be URLs: http://yourwebsite/
Once the images are live, the subject could scan their QR code with any device they chose

C) have an assitant ask for an email address that is tied to their code, and auto-generate an email with a link when their number has been processed.

these 3 options would be in addition to your current method

[...] Large portrait taking gigs can be a bit of a nightmare. If you’re taking multiple portraits of a few hundred people, trying to sort through those and organize them so that they’re easily found is no walk in the park.
